What is The International Greenbook?
A curated directory built to support safer, clearer travel and trusted connections.
The International Greenbook is a curated business directory across Africa and the global diaspora. We spotlight businesses and service providers who demonstrate professionalism, transparency, and care— to help travelers and diaspora communities navigate with more confidence and less friction.
Is every listing “endorsed” or guaranteed?
No — placement supports visibility, not a guarantee of outcomes.
Listings do not constitute endorsements, certifications, or guarantees of service quality or outcomes. The platform is informational and curated, and travelers should still communicate directly with businesses, confirm expectations, and use personal discretion.
How do you decide who gets listed?
We review partners for clarity, professionalism, safety awareness, and integrity.
We look for consistent indicators of trust: transparent communication, reliable service delivery, clear policies, respectful hospitality, and alignment with our Partner Standards. We may also request additional information or documentation when needed.
What if I have a bad experience with a listed partner?
Report it — verified concerns can trigger review and corrective action.
If you experience unsafe behavior, harassment, exploitation, or repeated misrepresentation, please report it. We may request details, review patterns of feedback, ask for clarifications from the partner, and pause or remove listings if standards are not being upheld.
What’s the difference between Featured and Premium placement?
Both increase visibility; Premium offers top-of-category and broader exposure.
Featured placement increases visibility inside category pages. Premium placement offers maximum exposure with top-of-category placement, homepage rotation opportunities (when available), and optional newsletter mentions. These placements do not imply endorsement — they are visibility upgrades only.
Do partners have to show prices publicly?
Not always — but pricing must be communicated clearly before service.
Partners are required to communicate pricing and policies upfront (online, in writing, or verbally before service). The goal is to reduce hidden fees and misunderstandings—especially for international travelers navigating new systems.
Can I recommend a business that isn’t listed yet?
Yes — recommendations help us expand responsibly and highlight excellence.
Absolutely. If you’ve had a positive experience with a business that demonstrates professionalism and care, you can submit a recommendation. We’ll follow up for basic listing details and next steps.
What types of partners do you accept?
Lodging, transportation, dining, wellness, education, relocation, and more.
We accept businesses and service providers across categories such as:
How often do listings get reviewed?
Periodically, and anytime consistent concerns are reported.
We may request updated information, refresh photos, verify policy changes, or respond to patterns of traveler feedback. Partners who no longer align with standards may be paused or removed to protect the integrity of the platform.
I’m a partner — how do I apply?
Submit the Partner Application and we’ll follow up with next steps.
Apply using the Partner Application Form. We’ll review your information, request any needed clarification, and confirm the listing details. If approved, you’ll be invited to complete onboarding for your profile.
Do you offer support for travelers planning a move or relocation?
Yes — we aim to connect travelers with reputable relocation and transition support.
The directory includes categories that support longer stays and relocations (housing, transport, relocation services). We encourage travelers to communicate early, confirm documents required, and request written quotes before committing.
How can I help strengthen the Greenbook ecosystem?
Share feedback, recommend excellent businesses, and promote ethical travel.
Community stewardship matters. When travelers share honest feedback and recommend businesses that operate with integrity, it helps protect the diaspora experience and uplifts excellence across regions.
Help us keep the directory strong. Share your experience, recommend a business, or request a review. Your feedback improves clarity, encourages accountability, and protects travelers.
